Corrections policy
We will make mistakes. This is what happens when we do.
Reporting an error
Tell us what is wrong, which page it is on, and — where you can — what the correct position is and the source for it. Corrections that cite a source are actioned fastest.
What we do
A factual error in a citation, figure or statement is corrected promptly and a note is added to the page recording what changed and when.
Where the correction changes an evidence grade, it is also recorded in the evidence change log for that claim, with the reasoning — the same treatment as any other change of assessment.
Where we got something badly wrong, we say so plainly rather than quietly editing it away.
What we will not do
We will not remove an accurate assessment because a manufacturer, including our own owner, objects to it. Commercial pressure is not a correction.
